SUB TROPICAL STORM ANA HITS ON THE WEEKEND.
And she delivered not only some great waves, but some serious summer weather. The air temps were in the high 80's on Saturday, and Sunday reached 90 here on the seacoast. Yeah, it was summer again.
The whole SUB TROPICAL label is somewhat confusing, kind of like "Sub Genius". There's nothing "Genius" about Sub Genius. However, there's something very tropical about Sub Tropical. Regardless of the label, this weekend was as Summer like as it gets. Of course the ocean was still thinking it was early Spring.
The hoods came off for some people, but the boots and gloves stayed on for most. There's always the exception to the rule. Hell I was standing in knee deep water in just my shorts. It was that hot standing on the beach. But being out on the water is a whole other animal. It's still cold. But I have to admit, it was refreshing.
These pics were all shot today. And this particular pic is the first shot of a 20 shot sequence. Problem is I have no idea who this guy is. I was walking down the beach when he took off on this right-hander and came right at me. I just stopped and fired off as many pics as I could until he was either gonna eat it or make it. Turns out he made it. Then I did something I rarely do. I tried to get his attention to let him know I got a long sequence of his wave. The way I see it, if I was that guy and someone got a good pic of me getting barreled? I'd want that shot. I know surfers. And I'm pretty sure he'd want those pics.
But when I yelled "Yo!" All the guys I knew in the line-up, turned their heads to me. But not this guy. He just kept surfing. I got some decent video of him too.
I finally gave up. The pics I shot today will be in next week's Blog.
Now this guy I know. This is my son Max. But he's seen more than enough pics that I've shot of him. So it's nothing too special when I get a pic of him in the barrel. I know he's gonna see it.
The same with this guy. This is Matt Colby. He got his fair share of those spinning green gems. The waves were just so pretty. I can't wait to go through the video clips I shot. I'll have the gallery from today and the video in the next Blog. Meanwhile, there were three days of waves this week, and this Blog is chock full of pics from those 3 days.
WE ARE NOT ALONE...
UFO/UAP
So, I’m not sure how many of you watched the segment on UFO’s on 60 Minutes on Sunday May 16th, 2021. But for those of you who didn’t here’s the link. You should watch it. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ufo-military-intelligence-60-minutes-2021-05-16/
And I’m not sure how many of you believe in them. Suffice it to say, after watching this segment, it would be hard to dispute what you see and hear on this subject. The simple fact that the US GOVERNMENT is finally admitting their existence, should be enough for you, to at the very least, give it a serious listen and watch. I admit, I have always thought that there were some cases in the past that warranted enough evidence to be true. Some could be easily explained and disputed, but some have not. But after watching this? If you don’t see and hear what everyone else sees and hears?
Then this is not for you.
But for those who do? Man, there is some really powerful testimony here that should concern you. Not worry you, but we should all be concerned. Why? Well for starters, the majority of these sightings have been near Military bases and ships. And while I don’t believe it’s the Russians or the Chinese, the fact that they are buzzing our Military installations is concerning. And the mere fact that these crafts (some of them were clocked at 13,000mph) can come and go as they please, is mind boggling. And if the Russians or the Chinese had them? They’d be using them against us. And one of the TOP Us Officials have already come out and said THEY ARE NOT US. And I mean US, as in the United States.
So they are NOT US. They are NOT Russia. They are NOT Chinese.
Who the hell are they?
And therein lies the million dollar question. And there has been much speculation as to who and what they are. Clearly they are unworldly. And they are for the most part, not a threat. Or rather, not an immediate threat. But anything that can go 13,000mph and change course on a dime? Or can simply disappear in front of your eyes? And…they can go into the water.
Listen to these two legitimate Fighter Pilots describe what they saw and witnessed. Alex Dietrich and Dave Fravor. Seriously, watch and listen to their testimony. It’s nothing short of amazing. These are legitimate eye witnesses to something so incredible it defies all sense of logic. Watch it.
60 Minutes Bill Whitaker talking with Fighter Pilot Ryan Graves. You really should watch it, if you have not seen it. Trust me it's worth your time.
And I think what is really an eye opener is, just how many people who have now heard about this story have little or no reaction to it. Really? We have documented proof of crafts that can travel at speeds of 13,000 mph, and they can buzz our highly touted fighter jets, and you don’t care? You care more about what so and so said on FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM than you do about this? Are we that jaded?
Though I suppose they might be right. I mean, there’s nothing we can do to stop them. So we might as well just go on living our lives, and not really care about these stories. Though I can’t help but think after watching this, that we might just be human goldfish to these beings. We’re just human goldfish swimming around in our giant fishbowl called earth. And these aliens just drop down every now and then, and check us out. Maybe they are mildly amused by us. These cute little unintelligent human beings. Just as long as they don’t start feeding us.
We all know what happens to goldfish when you over feed them.
I wish my late father Gus was still around to see and read all this. This photo above was taken in Salem, Massachusetts in 1952.
My dad had this photo and others just like it. He was convinced that UFO's were real, and he didn't care what anyone else thought about his opinion. (Gee I guess that apple doesn't fall to far from that tree huh?) Hey dad, you were right!

This week's Ed's corner pic is from May 15th, 2009. This was from the MEMORIAL DAY Concert to raise money for the GWOT Memorial Monument at Post 35 in Hampton, NH. The band is my three pics BHD (Big Handsome Daddy). That was a fun show, and Ed was always at the local shows. He took this pic along with a few others from that night. Photo by Ed O'Connell

Now for Some Local and National News
AFGHANISTAN and VIETNAM
OK I have mixed emotions about Biden’s plan to pull out all the troops from Afghanistan by 9-11-21. And here’s why. I know it’s the longest war we have ever been in. Twenty years is a long time. Prior to this war it was Vietnam. That one lasted 10 years. But it’s exactly the Vietnam war that I’m thinking about. During the Paris Peace Talks, the United States and South Vietnam brokered a deal with North Vietnam after we pulled all of our combat troops out of South Vietnam in 1973.
See below from the HISTORY CHANNEL page.
The United States, South Vietnam, Viet Cong, and North Vietnam formally sign “An Agreement Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam” in Paris. Due to South Vietnam’s unwillingness to recognize the Viet Cong’s Provisional Revolutionary Government, all references to it were confined to a two-party version of the document signed by North Vietnam and the United States—the South Vietnamese were presented with a separate document that did not make reference to the Viet Cong government. This was part of Saigon’s long-time refusal to recognize the Viet Cong as a legitimate participant in the discussions to end the war.
The settlement included a cease-fire throughout Vietnam. In addition, the United States agreed to the withdrawal of all U.S. troops and advisors (totaling about 23,700) and the dismantling of all U.S. bases within 60 days. In return, the North Vietnamese agreed to release all U.S. and other prisoners of war.
Both sides agreed to the withdrawal of all foreign troops from Laos and Cambodia and the prohibition of bases in and troop movements through these countries. It was agreed that the DMZ at the 17th Parallel would remain a provisional dividing line, with eventual reunification of the country “through peaceful means.” An international control commission would be established made up of Canadians, Hungarians, Poles, and Indonesians, with 1,160 inspectors to supervise the agreement. According to the agreement, South Vietnamese President Nguyen Van Thieu would continue in office pending elections.
Agreeing to “the South Vietnamese People’s right to self-determination,” the North Vietnamese said they would not initiate military movement across the DMZ and that there would be no use of force to reunify the country.
*But as we all now know. That was a lie. Just two years later, the North Vietnamese did exactly what they said they wouldn’t do. They crossed the DMZ killed tens of thousands of South Vietnamese, and captured Saigon in May of 1975. Those that tried to escape “BOAT PEOPLE” did so on crowded ships and boats. A large number of them died trying to escape. And those who were left behind, were sent off to RE-EDUCATION CAMPS.
Where they were beaten, tortured, and some of them died.
And during this whole shameful ordeal, America and her allies sat back and watched it all go down, while turning a blind eye to the atrocities of the Communist party. And for those of us who fought in that war, we all felt an overwhelming sense of loss and betrayal, that most of us have never recovered from. I can remember watching the “Fall Of Saigon” in complete shock, along with a tremendous feeling of despair and sorrow. How could this happen? How could we have abandoned those people after sacrificing so many lives for their very freedom?
The how and why is still being debated after almost 50 years.
And unfortunately, the seeds of PTS were planted.
The reason I bring up Vietnam is because, my fear is the same thing will now happen in Afghanistan. My well founded fear, is that the Taliban will patiently wait until all the Americans and our allies are gone, before they too, will come down with an overwhelming force, and take over all of what we have sacrificed in the last 20 years. Women and children will once again be at risk by the hands of the Taliban. They have already bombed a school where 50 young girls were killed. Mark my words. It’s coming.
The people of America have lost their will to fight. We are tired of war. We are tired of seeing American military fighting and dying in some foreign country. And I get all of that.
The real question is, how long before America can stand by and watch, all of what we have given the people of Afghanistan, go up in flames and smoke, at the hands of the Taliban? The live news reports will fill our large screen TV’s and hand held devices, as we watch the Taliban go back to their old ways of treating women and young girls like dogs. Not to mention the real possibility of the reemergence of Al Qeada and ISIS. How long? Because as sure as the sun shall rise, that day is coming.
There’s a reason why we left troops and bases in Germany and Japan after the WWII. We kept our troops there for stability and protection. And the same with Korea. If we didn’t have a presence in South Korea, they too would have been lost to the Communists a long time ago. Not having any presence in Vietnam resulted in millions of deaths and torture in the RE-EDUCATION Camps. This is documented history.
One more thing. The 22 veterans a day committing suicide?
Watch that number jump after we leave Afghanistan. I’m convinced that many of the Vietnam Vets that killed themselves, were in due part to the way it all ended. I’m telling you first hand, watching the Fall of Saigon was beyond depressing for us. And the same thing will happen to all of those men and women who served in Afghanistan. I’m already dreading the feeling for those vets when they watch that country fall at the hands of the Taliban, Al Qeada, and ISIS. It is coming.
And then and only then, you can make your comparisons about Vietnam and Afghanistan. What's that old haunting saying?
"
THOSE WHO FORGET THE PAST, ARE CONDEMMED TO REPEAT IT." God I hope that's not the case here.

KSM Photoshop of the Week
Now you'd have to think that if KSM were ever abducted by the Aliens there's a good chance they'd drop his ass back off in some cornfield in Kansas. He'd drive those poor Aliens crazy with that ALLAH ARKBAR stuff. Those aliens don't want to hear that chant. Though I'm not sure what they want. But I'm pretty sure they don't want this guy.
And so my friends, please take advantage of this weekly photo shop of the mastermind who planned 9-11 and resulted in the deaths of 3,000 innocent civilians by KSM (Khalid Sheik Mohammed).
