THEY'RE BACK IN THE NEWS! OH NO!

Once again the Nightly news had a big story on UFO’s, (Unidentified Flying Objects) or as they are called today UAP’s (Unidentified  Aerial Phenomena).  You say tomato - I say tomatta. Whatever you want to call them, they are back in the news. Only this time, they seem more credible. There’s talk (again) about crashed vehicles, and the recovered bodies of the beings that piloted them. OK, I don’t know about you, but I am ready for this stuff to be made public. I can see why they kept a lid on this story for so long. Had they come right out when they first found them it might have caused widespread panic. But today? I think we in America are ready and able to see them and accept them. Good or bad. We are ready. Look, this country has never been more divided than we are now, since the Civil War.

The DEMS vs the GOP is pretty evident. And there’s no end in sight. And with those two elderly loads in the driver’s seat of both parties, it’s not going to get any better anytime too soon.

My thinking is, if they release all this information on the whole UFO files, it would be a perfect time for a new, younger, fresh candidate, to lead us into this new horizon. Can you imagine TRUMP or BIDEN dealing with Aliens? Especially if they (Aliens) have hostile intentions. The time is ripe to let the truth be known and for someone new to lead this country. The way I look at it is, it’s a WIN WIN situation. Show us what you got. We can handle it. Because this would be the biggest thing in the history of the world. This information would be something along the lines of the second coming of Jesus Christ himself. Let’s face it. There are millions of people RE: Christians/Catholics, who are waiting and expecting Jesus Christ to return to earth one day to judge the living and the dead. Did I go too far with that statement? I don’t think so. 

If we were to wake up tomorrow with absolute, 10000% truth, that UFO’s are real? Whoa.

Honestly? I believe that AMERICA, and indeed, the WHOLE WIDE  WORLD are ready for this. I think we can all collectively handle this. I hope they release the sealed documents.

The following information is from NYMAG

Most of the Senate’s public hearings on UFOs over the past two years have been pretty boring events, full of terrestrial explanations for the many unidentified aerial phenomena that military aircraft have clocked over U.S. airspace in recent decades. But some lawmakers have renewed their interest following the explosive allegation earlier this month from intelligence whistleblower David Grusch — who claimed Congress is not being shown the full evidence of UFO technology, including crashed alien spacecraft.
Marco Rubio, for one, agrees there is more information out there.

The Florida senator told NewsNation this week that others in addition to Grusch in the intelligence community have come forward with “firsthand” accounts of UFO hardware. Rubio, a longtime advocate for transparency on the alien issue, claims several more intelligence whistleblowers with “high clearances” have shared similar allegations with the Senate Intelligence Committee.
“We’re trying to gather as much of that information as we can,” Rubio said. “And frankly, a lot of them are very fearful of their jobs … fearful of harm coming to them.”



Grusch, who, prior to his resignation, worked on the intelligence team investigating UFO sightings, has claimed other members of the research unit have seen the evidence, though he has not. So Rubio’s comment alleging others are out there who have seen UFO technology firsthand is a step toward corroboration.
For alien optimists, at least, this suggests Grusch isn’t totally making things up. “What I think we owe is just a mature, you know, understanding — listening and trying to put all these pieces together and just sort of intake the information without any prejudgment or jumping to any conclusions,” Rubio said. Meanwhile, the public waits for an intelligence official who has actually seen one of these things to come forward.

Ed O'Connell was one of the most loved surf photographers in New England. A US ARMY Vietnam Veteran who saved the lives of so many ARMY Grunts in Nam in 68-69 as a Medic on board those Dust Off Hueys. He was a dear friend of mine.

When he passed on July 1st, 2014 I swore I'd keep his memory and legacy alive by giving him this weekly corner. He loved surfing and he loved taking photos of all the surfers. Not just those who could really stand out. He shot every one. As long as I shall live and breathe the salt air, there will be a corner dedicated to Ed.

Hard to believe it's been 15 years of HIT THE BEACH.
This is going to be a big day at the beach. We are currently working with the State to get the beach cleaned up the day or two prior to the HTB day. As most of you know, we have had huge amounts of seaweed on that beach every year. It would be nice to have it clean for once.

We're just trying to get permission to allow Anthony Curro to bring his backhoe down at 18th Street. Otherwise we have to remove it all by hand again. And that is NO fun.

BOB MARLEY The BLUE OCEAN July 15th, 2023

The first time I ever heard of Bob Marley was sometime in the late 90’s or early 2000’s. Driving north to Pittsburg, NH with Pete Tilton on our annual upland bird hunt with my old dogs Gunny Scout. It’s a good 3.5 to 4 hour drive. In that length of time  you can talk about a lot of things but then eventually it’s time for music or something else. “Want to hear some Bob Marley?” Pete asked. “What? You’re into Reggae music?” I asked knowing Pete like I do, I couldn’t picture him listening to Bob Marley while getting high on pot. “No not that Bob Marley. The comedian from Maine. He’s really funny.” He says as he hands me a CD cover. I looked it over and thought, “Sure lets hear it.”

Well what I heard that day, stayed with me. Bob Marley is one funny individual.

Until last night, I had only seen him on his pay per view specials and his Facebook posts. And those funny Facebook posts were hilarious. He started them during the Covid pandemic. My wife and I instantly became followers of his. There’s something about his comedy that strikes a chord with so many of us here in New England. Physically, he is funny to just look at. The man is 6’ 3” and moves about the stage, like a cross between a drunk giraffe, and an orangutan. He makes some of the funniest noises and his facial expressions are the funniest. But it’s his pacing and delivery of scenarios that he’s honed to perfection.

Bob makes no qualms about making fun of his family and friends. They are all open season. Boy are they ever.

Lots of comics draw from their own families and their local haunts, and Bob Marley does it with the accents, mannerisms, and classic physical comedy that has made him into a huge local draw. The BLUE OCEAN was packed last night. And granted there were lots of older folks (like myself) there. His comedy focuses  on the baby boomer generation. He’s only 56 years old, but he seems older. I was surprised at how young he really is. I would have guessed at least in his early 60’s. So to find out he was only in his mid 50’s was kind of an eye opener. His jokes (stories) were non-stop and he never skipped a beat. I am always amazed at watching comics who have honed their show without pausing or coming up for air. That’s Bob Marley.

And the other thing I noticed about him last night was how he toned down the profanity. In fact, he only said the “F” word once. Just once. And his use of profanity was very watered down. After watching him the first hour, or so, I kept thinking he’s going to start dropping the F-bombs right about now. But it never happened. What did happen was we all go to witness this local comic genius as he mimicked his mother and father, his aunts, and his cousin Wayne. And each character came to life with a minimum of stage props. He used his own body to create these family members, or a pair of cheap sunglasses, He tapped into the audience’s imagination and took us for a fun and hilarious two hours of non-stop laughing. I’m not kidding. My wife never laughed so hard.

And Kevin and Kim Grondin were hurting from laughing so hard.

STILL RAINING...



So it’s raining again? I’m reminded of a time and a place, where the rain came and never stopped. If you’ve ever been to Southeast Asia and experienced the Monsoon season, you know what I’m talking about. But the rain here in New England this summer? It’s been non-stop.

I miss the days of brown dead grass in July, where I only had to mow the lawn once or twice for the whole month. Unlike this summer. I’ve been mowing twice a week! That’s crazy!

KSM was returned to earth.

I remember this exact wave. I was out surfing "RALPH'S RIGHT'S" off the Jetty at 10th Street. Truth is I had no idea that Ed was even on the beach. Turns out he was down at 14th Street hiding in the jetty with his 600mm lens.
