The year 2022 was one for the ages on both the international level and the local level. In January of 2022 the US went from 55 million total cases of Covid to 75 million in less than a month as the omnicron variant spread across the country.
The LA Rams won the Superbowl LVI on February 13th, 2022 they beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20.
On February 24th, 2022 Russia Invaded Ukraine. The war in Ukraine was like watching newsreel clips of WWII. Only this was happening now. Today. The suffering of the Ukrainian people was hard to watch. Not since the footage of Nazi Germany's Blitzkrieg in Europe during the second world war has the world ever seen such devastating destruction. People's homes and businesses wiped out on a daily basis. It was difficult to watch, especially in light of the fact that it's 2022 and not 1942.
On March 27th, 2022 actor Will Smith slapped the snot out of comic Chris Rock on stage at the 94th Academy Awards. I watched that live and posted "WILL SMITH JUST SLAPPED CHRIS ROCK live on TV at the Academy Awards. That was some weird ass shit for sure. Though I found it all very entertaining.
On May 18th, 2022 The MONKEY POX Outbreak scared the Monkey piss out of everyone. It was also a not so friendly reminder that I need to finish writing my auto biography book
of my life "DON'T EVER BUY A F***ING MONKEY." It will be done but the Summer of 23. I promise, or I'll be a monkey's uncle..
Another cowardly gunman killed a bunch of kids at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX. It took over an hour for the Police to enter the classroom and confront the shooter. Not good on any level. Cowardly gunman and cowardly police. I am very good friends with many of the local law enforcement
on the seacoast, and I know without question they would all have gone into that classroom no matter what. Shameful what they didn't do that day.
House committee investigation of the January 6th attacks hold first public hearing on June 9th, 2022. In my honest opinion, there is only one person to blame for what happened that day. The 45th president of the United States. Period. He should never be allowed to serve in public office again. Period.
June 10th, 2022 young SUPER Evan Austin (8yrs) lost his valiant battle with cancer. The whole Seacoast community came together during his long battle with this rare disease, and supported the Austin family.
Gas Prices hit $5 a gallon on June 14th, 2022. Ouch that hurt.
Roe v. Wade overturned by Supreme Court, states turn to abortion trigger laws. June 24th, 2022. That came back to bite most of the GOP candidates in the ass at the midterm elections. That and any of the candidates that aligned themselves with 45.
On July 12th, 2022 NASA gave the world the first look at the power of the James Webb Space Telescope.
The world's largest and most powerful telescope gave a crystal clear image of emerging stellar nurseries and stars in the Carina Nebula, located about 7,600 light years away. Some of those images were truly mind boggling.
On August 3rd, 2022 LOCAL SURF Legend Robin Rowell passed away. There was a paddle in his honor and memory at his favorite wave on August 19th, 2022.
When it rains it pours. On August
19th, 2022 a Fire Swept through the block on High street and Ocean Blvd knocking out three prominent businesses. The NORTH BEACH Bar & Grille, SECRET SPOT, and CINNAMON RAINBOWS. It was a devastating loss for the seacoast/Surf Community.
Serena Williams played her final tennis match at US Open on September 2nd, 2022
On September 8th, 2022 Queen Elizabeth took her last breath. The queen was 96 yrs old. For 70 years she served as Great Britain's monarch. That's longest reign ever for any British monarch.
Hurricane Ian slams into Florida's Gulf coast on September 28th, 2022 causing serious damage and loss of life.
Elon Musk takes control of Twitter October 27th, 2022. Who really cares?
The Largest Powerball drawing in US History happened on November
8th, 2022. A single individual won. The odds of winning were 1 in 292 Million. Say what? Talk about lucky.
Democrats surprise many by hanging onto the Senate on November 12th, 2022. Again, those who aligned themselves with "45" paid a
severe price for that ill advised allegiance.
Congress passes Respect For marriage Act on December 8th, 2022. Providing protection for same sex couples and interracial couples.
Finally, on December
10th, 2022 CINNAMON RAINBOWS moved into their temporary location at the former location of PIONEERS Board Shop on Lafayette Rd in North Hampton. And just like that, all was right in the world.

The Patriots DB Dugger got a quick pick six as they beat the Dolphins in a close game 23-20 on New Years Eve and now face the Buffalo Bills in the last game of the year. If they beat the Bills they are in the Play-Offs. If they lose? They watch the Playoffs at home, like the other teams who did not make it.

Most people didn't realize that Barbara
Walters tried to interview KSM but had to stop due to the overwhelming stench of goat and camel feces. To quote Barbara herself: "I can't work with this shit!" Needless to say, KSM was furious at her remarks and stormed off the set, and ran back into the stall where he was currently staying for the interview. Just as well. Nobody wants to hear what the Sheik has to say anyway.
And so my friends, please take advantage of this weekly photo shop of the mastermind who planned 9-11 and resulted in the deaths of 3,000 innocent civilians by KSM (Khalid Sheik Mohammed). *Note to self -must pick up a case of Camel Dung at Home Depot this week.

I kept a daily Blog on my CATCH A WAVE FOR MOLLY surf campaign, when I surfed every single day for 365 consecutive days. Click on the Banner above to read entries of my daily journey. There's some really interesting and true experiences
that happened during that year. Some of which are to this day, unexplainable. Some are just mind blowing. But all true.
I started on July 26th, 2010 and ended on July 26th, 2011.
Some rainy Sunday, pour yourself a cup and go through the journal.
Pay close attention to the month of May in 2011. Read that month and let me know what you think of that. Be forewarned it will change you forever.
