        OH
        NO. OH MY GOD.

5:30AM I can't sleep. I've been tossing and turning all night. This did
not happen. How could it? This is like some cruel nightmare descending
down on all of us NE Sportsfans. Wait...it did happen. The NY GIANTS under
the helm of Eli Manning beat the Best Team in in NFL History. The NE Patriots.

Right from the coin toss, I had a bad feeling. Somehow things did not
seem right. When I saw Brady's reaction to the coin toss I knew something
was up. But having said that I don't think any of us could of predicted
what would come next. The GIANTS took the field and ate up 9 plus minutes
of the 1st qtr. The Pats offense didn't take the field until there was
4 minutes left of the 1st qtr.

And then the onslaught really started.

The GIANTS defense came on like a dam TSUNAMI. Poor Tom Brady must of
felt like he had woken up in some Bizzarro world of the NFL. The GIANTS
defense ended up getting to Brady so many times that I'm sure he's still
hearing and seeing them right now in his dreams.
       I
know he's feeling the bumps and bruises.

There are just so many things to talk about and honestly
my friends, I could go on and on about it. But to just touch upon a few
        that really stick out.

The Red Hoodie on Belichick? Huh? And the planning and bickering on where
and when to have the Victory parade. Are you kidding me?
       The
NON call on an obvious Offensive Interference on Toomer against Hobbs
in the first qtr . Are you kidding me?

The recovered fumble that a Patriot fell on and somehow ended up in a
        GIANTS hands?
        Are you kidding me?

The many sacks and knock downs on Brady. Are
        you kidding me?

The decision to go for it on 4 and 13 instead of trying for the Field
Goal. That 3 points would of made the difference. Are
        you kidding me?

The Final NY GIANTS drive when they had Eli in their hands with a minute
on the clock and he gets away like a young Brett Farve and completes and
equally shit luck pass that the guy caught on top of his helmet with Harrison
        all over him. Are
        you kidding me?
       The
two missed INTERCEPTIONS. One by Rodney the other by Assante Samuel. And
finally, the last pass to Buress with Hobbs getting beat so bad in the
corner of the end zone that it's not worth the time to write about it
        here.

        Are
        you kidding me?

      All
I know is this. Last year when we lost to the COLTS after being up 21-3
in the AFC Championships it took me a long time to get over it. I mean,
I was in a funk for days after. This game? Well, it's going to take some
        time. How could it not?

        I do know this.
      The
New England Patriots don't put food on our plates here at my home. Tom
Brady does not hand me a paycheck every week. It is what many have said.
"Just a game". But, when you do what this team has done all
year, and to let it slip through your fingers at the last game like this?
        Losing to a Manning?
      It's
        just weird.
      Today
when the sun comes up all over the world New England fans will be heading
off to school and work with that knot in their stomachs. 2
minutes and 42 seconds from 19-0. The
perfect season has ended. But not the way we all thought it would.
      This
hurt will stay around for a while.
      I
was so looking forward to getting on with my life again. This weekly NFL
madness was starting to get to me. The Perfect season. The Best NFL team
EVER in the history of the NFL. Well...someone forgot to tell the NY GIANTS
about these plans. They are deserving of this victory. They beat the team
that has not lost a game all season.
      The
        UNDER DOGS beat the UNDEFEATED.

The Perfect season still belongs to the Miami Dolphins. Now there's a
happy bunch of retired players today.
The 72 Dolphins are still, and more than likely, will remain, the ONLY
        undefeated NFL team in history.

There you have it. Hopefully, we will all be able to get on with our lives
and look back on this season for what it truly was. An amazing run. They
were still the ONLY team to go 18 and 0. That record will NEVER be beat.

But then again. Never say never.

We could do it again. Except...my poor heart might not make it again.
I don't even want to think about it. Right now, I just want to go some
place warm and tropical and catch some decent waves with my family.

And think about nothing but the next wave coming at me, and how lucky
we are, to be able to go surfing.

        Remember
        my friends...Surfing heals all wounds....
Pray for Surf. Pray for Peace. Surf For Fun.
