Father's Day, Stolen Valor, and Stolen Color.

I hope all you dad's out there have a wonderful day today. Don't work too hard. If you're like me, I actually don't mind going out and doing some yard work. Reminds me of my late father. He could give a rats ass about this day. I can't tell you how many Father's Days he spent working in the yard or garden. He was happy doing yard work.

I had been thinking about this day for a few weeks now. And not for the reasons you might think. I couldn't help but remember that some local friends of our community just lost their father.

The McCarthy family have to face this day without Steve being here. Or rather, being here in the physical sense. I know his widow and children will feel his presence today, as well as his siblings and mother. And cousins, nephews and nieces, all the in-laws.

A few weeks ago I wrote about the first year of sadness.

Father's Day was right on the heels of Stephen's passing. It's like they barely came up for air, when this day arrived. Knowing his siblings like I do, I have no doubt that they will reach out and comfort his family.
It's what tight knit families do. And they do it without question.

I hope all you brand new dads have a great day as well. If this is your first Father's Day, it most certainly will be a special day for you. You have reached that status of now having another day added to your days of celebration. Holidays, birthday, and now Father's Day. Welcome to the club.



Speaking of new clubs. I am in the Grandfather club. It is a fun place to be, especially if you miss your own children during this exciting stage of learning and experiencing all the things your own children have learned. The sea, The waves. Crabs. It's all out there.

Last Sunday I had the honor of being the MC at the 10th Anniversary
of Operation Red Wings. That's where 11 NAVY SEALS and 8 ARMY NIGHT STALKERS were killed on June 28th, 2005 in the Hindu Kush in Afghanistan. One of the SEALS who was killed that day was Dan Healy from Exeter. His mom and sister were there as were other SEAL moms and dads, some of which who have lost sons in the Global War On Terrorism.



These are the 11 NAVY SEAL Heroes who died that day. The LONE Survivor was Marcus Luttrell He wrote a book about that day, that became a major motion picture. I'm sure you are all aware of it.

I don't know what it is these past few months with finding myself among true heroes, and their families. But I can tell you this. It is always a humbling experience. It also got me thinking about the cowardly dirt bags who walk around claiming they were NAVY SEALS. Stolen Valor. You've heard about it. Here's a link to one

out there claiming to be NAVY SEALS. Thousands.
What is going on? Really what is going through the minds
of these pathetic wannabes?

And it's not just phony SEALS. There are phony ARMY and
MARINES out there. SOME who actually wear the MEDAL OF HONOR? Can you imagine the balls to wear something that
sacred? The most coveted of all the medals. The MOH.
How do you put that around your neck, and go strutting around in public? Speaking at schools and other large gatherings.



These two phonies should be executed. How do you guys live
with yourselves? Seriously, how do you?



To look at this handsome model who claimed to be a SEAL but was actually discharged from the Air Force as an E-1. That's the lowest rank in the military. What a freaking tool this fool is.

These are the 9 souls who were murdered by a racist this week in Charleston, SC. He does not earn the mention of who he is. He is a coward. He is evil. He is a racist. And he is going to die.



There are so many father's crying today. Unspeakable evil. Say a prayer for all of them. Pray for their souls.
