February 1st, 2015 The RUN is 4 out of 4 Weeks

Waist high or better, at least once a week. There was
chest to head high surf on Sunday 1-25-15 and big surf
during winter Storm JUNO 1-27-15 and 1-28-15.

The 6th appearance in the SUPERBOWL by Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. The INSANE snow from JUNO, and the next Winter Storm is on the Way LINUS! Go PATRIOTS!

I'm not sure how many of you are New England Patriots fans. I would imagine that on this day, you all are. Except for some of you out of stater's who have moved here, and can't seem to let go of your childhood teams. But I admire you for that. You're loyalty and dedication, is what used to fuel the teams of yesterday. And I suppose that is still the case for some people. Especially the youth.

But today? Today we are all Patriots!

Unless of course you are from west of the Mississippi. This game
has all the makings of a great game. But like the AFC game, I'm not into great games. I like it way better when we blow the other teams out. I know, that's not exactly good sportsmanship. But like I said. I'm not looking for that great game. I want to see the Seahawks, and really the rest of the haters out there crumble.

The NFL has made a terrible mistake by accusing the Patriots of something that was so distracting and based on pure speculation.
In my honest to goodness opinion, the NFL owes the team, the coaches, the owners of the New England Patriots the biggest apology. Even if the Patriots win (and I think they will), they should still bow down to them and beg for forgiveness. It was beyond embarrassing for both the teams and the NFL.

If there's one thing that will erase some of this hurt will be a scene like this first scene when Brady won his first Superbowl. That will help.
Who among us true fans can ever forget that feeling? It was the absolute best time as a patriots fan. Our first Superbowl win.

Our lives changed forever on that day.

And I know if we win today, our lives will change again.

Speaking of changing our lives. This is me snowblowing the second of two driveways on January 28th, 2015. The aftermath of Winter Storm JUNO. OK, I've had enough. That was pretty. I get it. Very nice.
I love it when it snows up north in ski country. Not so much down here on the seacoast. Keep the snow (year round) in the mountains, just spare us here on the seacoast. Please...

...oh boy...I should of kept my big mouth shut.

There's another winter storm heading this way. LINUS. Really?
We have a new kitten living in our house. My daughter Noelle brought home a stray Tiger cat named (you guessed it) LINUS. And he has been both a joy and a terror. The cuts and scratches on my hand will attest to that. So I am not at all surprised that this latest storm is LINUS. Oh and you know, I'll be shooting another clip and hell yes I will be using LINUS THE CAT in this clip.

Sorry Noelle, this is the price you pay. Linus has to work for his room and board and all the free food he's been having.

Don't forget. Anyone wanting to make a donation to the Meghan Evans fund can do so at any TD Bank.
Just walk into any TD Bank and ask for the Karen Evans
(Meghan's mom) Fund raiser.

There is another fund raiser in the works for February 22nd, 2015 at WALLYS in Hampton Beach. Stay tuned next week for more details.

"A PATRIOTS SUPER BOWL VICTORY HEALS ALL WOUNDS"

"Ed's Corner" pic this week is from the year 1970. The surfer
is Ed himself. Look at Ed. In his glory. Having survived Vietnam, his hair is long, he was surfing, and just full on into surf photography. Life was good for Ed O'Connell in 1970.
To see more of Ed's pics just hit the archives tab and scroll through the years and see some Ed's work. Be sure to pick up the new SFOD movie The COLD COAST and check out the extra feature of Ed O'Connell's gallery set to music.

Each week I will feature one of Ed's great pics from this blog.

The COLD COAST is available at CINNAMON RAINBOWS, PIONEERS BOARD SHOP, ZAPSTIX, and SUMMER SESSIONS. You can also buy one from SURF FREE OR DIE by sending a money order or check for $20. Go to surffreeordie.com for ordering details.

Portions of the eventual DVD proceeds will go to the
WOUNDED WARRIORS PROJECT.

This would look so much better with number 4 up there..

Now for Some Of My Weekly Global Observances

Here's some good news. Chemical ISSIS expert was killed by a US Air Strike this week. Abu Malik was turned into toast by a US air strike. Think of how many innocent human beings were saved by that one bomb. Take a good look at that photo below. That is a photo of evil dying. Too bad it wasn't a slower death. Looks like he went pretty quickly. Oh well. Maybe some of his coworkers took a while before they finally expired. One can only hope.

I would love to post a photo like this (above) each week.
Dead terrorists. Anyone offended by that? Good.

OK a little fun here with KSM and Roger Goodell. I'm sorry but I'm still miffed at the way the NFL handled this ball fiasco. So I'm
tossing KSM into the mix. When in doubt go KSM on the mofos.

KSM is by far the ugliest referee in the NFL.

Please enjoy the weekly humiliation of the mastermind terrorist who killed 3,000 innocent civilians on September 11th, 2001.
Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM), the mastermind behind 9-11 the captured Al Qeada ICON is getting his weekly slap in the face. You're welcome KSM fans.

* Note to self: Must pick up a case of whistles at Home Depot this week.

And Happy Birthday to all you February Birthdays!
*Facebook no longer gives me the weekly birthday updates.
They only send me daily ones. Sorry.

Please keep my sister Evamarie in your thoughts and prayers and send positive thoughts to our dear friend Meghan Evans and family. Also say a prayer for my good friend Robert Gerard. And please pray for Rick Fiorentini.

Please add them all to your prayer list. Thank you.

Please Support ALL The photographers who contribute to Ralph's Pic Of The Week every

We welcome all Surf Related pics from our Readers. Just make sure they are at least 900 pixels wide. If you have any OLD photos of local New England surfers and or of local New England surfing, we would love to see them and share them with our readers.

We can scan them for you. And we get them back to you undamaged. Trust me. We can do this...people love the older stuff. So if you have any, please send 'em along. If you have prints/slides we can scan them for you.

And we don't care if you shoot pics with with your cellphones. I mean it. Most of the images you see on the news and on the Internet were shot with them Smart Ass Phones. So shoot and ask questions later.
