HAPPY EASTER! HAPPY PASSOVER!
The First Spring Swell-Chopes-Iran Nuclear Deal.

There is no bigger Holiday for Christians than Easter. The entire
religion is based on this day. You either believe it, or you don't.
The Resurrection. Christ rising from the grave, and ascending into heaven. Heaven, a place where all good Christians aspire to.
Without the possibility of heaven, there is nothing. There would be absolute chaos if there was no afterlife. It would be the true beginning of the end. Do you believe?

There are some who call Easter and all of the other holidays a Pagan event. Conjured up by past ad executives. Then modified with each generation. From Christmas to Easter. That may be true. But there are those who believe in both the birth of Jesus, and the death of Jesus, when the miracle of rising from the dead, is enough to fill
their hearts with joy and love.

Jesus Christ was all about love. Love Love Love.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention PASSOVER for my Jewish friends and neighbors.

Passover is celebrated in the early spring, from the 15th through the 22nd of the Hebrew month of Nissan. It commemorates the emancipation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt.
HAPPY PASSOVER.

Spring couldn't get here quick enough for some people.

But to be fair and honest, the Spring skiing has been phenomenal. And we were all graced with the first Spring Swell of the Season.
Sunday morning on March 29th, 2015 saw some perfect little A-frames along certain stretches of the New England coastline.

Feast your eyes on this Spring beauty.

There were rights and lefts for 4 solid hours before the wind
got on it and made it less than desirable.

This look good? It was head high and grinding. Don't believe me?

Well, ask Matt Colby. He got more than his share of open holes like this one (above). Hollow and grinding. There are about a hundred pics in the galleries. Be sure to scroll down, and check them out.

Then there were barrels like this barrel at Chopes with local Rye guy Tyler McGill. Now I have to admit, I don't know anyone else who has surfed that wave from around here. Tyler would be the first.

His story on facebook is worth reading. I posted all of the photos he posted on Facebook here in his own gallery. It's all down below.

Now for Some Of My Weekly Global Observances
I am still shaking my head at the Aaron Hernandez trial.
What were you thinking Aaron? Seriously? Throwing all of what you had away because you could not escape the thug life that lives within you. What a waste.

I am still not commenting on the GermanWings air disaster.
Suffice it to say, it is an unimaginable tragedy. No words.

I will however, talk about this. The Iran Nuclear deal.
I don't know what to make of it all. But I did like what Obama said. "If Iran Cheats, the world will know it." Not sure what that means, but he sounds serious. Look, all any of us want is world peace. Whoever can broker that deal God Bless them. I really don't care which party accomplishes that monumental task, just as long as it comes to fruition.

As always, my weekly humiliation of KSM knows no boundaries.
Here we see KSM in line with all the head honchos behind the Iran Nuclear deal. Not sure what he's doing there, but I just love sticking his head where it doesn't belong.

So once again, please enjoy the weekly humiliation of the mastermind terrorist who killed 3,000 innocent civilians on September 11th, 2001.
Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM), the mastermind behind 9-11 the captured Al Qeada ICON is getting his weekly slap in the face. You're welcome KSM fans.

* Note to self: Must pick up a case of Nuclear protective gear at Home Depot this week.

Happy Birthday to all you April Birthdays!
HAPPY EASTER and HAPPY PASSOVER!
HAPPY 30th ANNIVERSARY Lenny and Arlene Nichols!
REST IN PEACE Thom Moore of San Diego, CA.
*Facebook no longer gives me the weekly birthday updates.
They only send me daily ones. Sorry.

Please keep my sister Evamarie in your thoughts and prayers
and continue to send positive thoughts to our dear friend Meghan Evans and family. Please add surf photographer Andrew Rebeiro to your list. Also say a prayer for my good friend Robert Gerard. Please add them all to your prayer list. Thank you.

We welcome all Surf Related pics from our Readers. Just make sure they are at least 900 pixels wide. If you have any OLD photos of local New England surfers and or of local New England surfing, we would love to see them and share them with our readers.

We can scan them for you. And we get them back to you undamaged. Trust me. We can do this...people love the older stuff. So if you have any, please send 'em along. If you have prints/slides we can scan them for you.

And we don't care if you shoot pics with with your cellphones. I mean it. Most of the images you see on the news and on the Internet were shot with them Smart Ass Phones. So shoot and ask questions later.

THE LAST WINTER STORM of 2015. Shot on Monday, March 16th, 2015

This will end up being the last Winter Storm of 2015. Starting on Sunday March 15th, 2015 the snow gave us a NEW record for snowfall in one season. The next day Monday March 16th, 2015 gave way to blue skies, and green waves, with brisk offshore winds.

The surfers were: Casey Lockwood, Matt Colby, Weston Rogers, Jared Hay, Kyle Linseman, Britt Swartley, and Max Fatello. The music is by my nephew Jesse QWILL Ciarmataro. It was recorded live and Jesse is playing all the instruments. *Listen to his guitar riffs. A special nod to his uncles Ralph and Johnny. I also shot a bunch of stills today. Hope you enjoy this last Winter Swell of 2015.

Ralph

This is somewhere in East Java where I had the opportunity to get lost for a few days with the great European surfers Tiago Pires and Aritz Aranburu during their break in the WCT Tour 2014.

Winter Storm MARCUS in Black and White from SFOD/Ralph's Pic Of The Week February 10th, 2015.

My first B&W clip since the 80's. The local boys were tearing it up out there. Weston Rogers, Stevie O'Hara, Max Fatello, Dave Cropper, Kevin Grondin, Phil Carey, Peter Stokes, Casey Lockwood, and Roger Beal. The tune is by LZ and it kicks. Just one more in the winter storm series. Hope you like it.

Well seeing how winter storm MARCUS was a 4 day swell and each day was significant, I shot more that I typically would shoot. I had posted the first MARCUS clip last week. It was a Black and White clip. My first B&W in many years. This was all shot on February 12th, 2015. It was snowing pretty heavy by the end of the day. What else is new? We've had a crazy winter here in New Hampshire. The surfers are the usual suspects. Weston Rogers, Dave Cropper, Perry Reynolds, Max Fatello, Peter Stokes, Lenny Nichols, Kevin Grondin, and a bunch of others. The music is by Jimi Hendrix. It's short but sweet. I hope you like it.

Thanks

Ralph
